ANPL IS MERGING WITH CPL!

We are pleased to announce that the Amateur National Poker League is merging with our sister organisation Champions Poker League at the end of this season! That means more venues, more prizes and regional finals in Grosvenor Casinos!

Champions Poker League was set up by ANPL LTD in 2007 and has already gathered over 200 venues across the U.K. By merging ANPL and Champions Poker League together we can now offer our loyal players from ANPL a much wider choice of venues in locations from south Devon to north-east Scotland! Champions Poker League finals are regional and held in Grosvenor casinos in locations up and down the country, so you're always close to a quarterly final!

As well as increasing the number of venues available to play in, we will be increasing the yearly prize pool and will be offering FIFTEEN THOUSAND POUNDS worth of prizes every year! Including:

- A grand prize package of a trip to a major poker tournament, including flights, accommodation and spending money!

- At least five additional £1000 Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) seats!

- Prizes of GUKPT seats at every quarterly final!

- Plus loads of other great prizes at every final!

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ANPL?

At the end of the current season the ANPL website as it is now will be taken offline and replaced with a holding page directing players towards the new site. Over the course of the following two weeks all of the ANPL members, venues and past information will be transferred over to Champions Poker League, so don't worry, none of your information or past points will be lost.

Champions Poker League tournaments run in exactly the same manner as ANPL tournaments, so there will be no change in your pub games. Points and qualification work the same way as well, with the exception that Champions Poker League finals are regional, with finals being held in many different casinos across the country so there is always a final close to you!

THIS YEAR'S GRAND FINAL

Both ANPL and CPL will be starting a new year on the 1st of July as a merged league. This means that the quarterly finals will be held as planned at the end of July with a National final being held mid September. The Quarterly finals will be regional and held at Grosvenor Casinos across the country. The National Final will be held at the Grosvenor Casino in Walsall in mid-September (subject to confirmation).

MEMBERSHIP NUMBERS

Champions Poker League membership numbers use a different system to ANPL. Once your information has been transferred across to the Champions Poker League website a new membership number will be created for you based on the following:

First six digits = date of birth (if we don't have your date of birth we will set it as 01/01/01)
Last 4 digits = the last four digits of your ANPL membership number.

Too confusing? Don't worry! We will email you your new membership number, and if you aren't happy with it you will be able to simply change it by logging into your member area with your ANPL membership number or emailing us!

Kevin O`Byrne is top of the national leaderboard, with 146 points. Click here to see the full leaderboards.
